Stephen Wilcox - BiographyStephen studied Chemistry at Birmingham University before taking on a series of management roles in manufacturing, at the same time he acquired a number of professional management qualifications and completed a degree in Physics with the Open University. He joined U-NET in 1998 and worked as part of the management team responsible for projects and development until it became part of VIA Networks Inc. At VIA Stephen continued working at a senior level and was involved in numerous projects to amalgamate the various companies VIA was acquiring internationally. He moved to Opal Telecom in 2000 where he was Operations Manager looking after Opal's rapid expansion into IP and was responsible for setting up their IP division. In 2002 Stephen became a founding director at Telecomplete where he is currently the Technical Director. He became a director of MaNAP from 2001 for two years and has been on the board of LINX since 2003. Stephen is also an Internet Watch Foundation funding council member and a committed contributor to various Internet groups, forums and research projects. In addition to persuing his interest in Internet research projects, Stephen also enjoys travel, reading, poker and trying to add a couple of languages to his native English. |
